I’m a wife, mother and music-loving Libra. Yoga and baking are my meditations. Puerto Rico holds my heart, as does the great outdoors, and traveling feeds my soul. I thrive when I am with people who inspire me and I am obsessed with houseplants!

A Creative Beginning

Before the pandemic, I was busy running my small marketing firm, working closely with my husband’s photography and graphic design business. I specialized in staging for commercial photo/video shoots for various clients in our Idaho modern farmhouse. As I staged various scenes, I noticed a gap—fake plants just weren’t cutting it for adding that authentic “life” and “warmth” to our shoots. So, I started collecting real houseplants for a more natural aesthetic. Fast forward, and I found myself with 75 plant babies. I was officially a crazy plant lady.

The Birth of Purived

As I immersed myself in the world of houseplants, I became deeply passionate about their care and cultivation. Our 5-acre hobby farm was a dream, with Jason making apple cider vinegar from our heirloom apple trees and a compost pile thriving in the background. He brewed compost tea fertilizer for the outdoor plants and that’s where the lightbulb moment struck! I needed a fertilizer for my indoor jungle—something odorless, instant-feeding, colorless and packed with all the plant-nurturing goodness.

Cue 2020, the year the world stopped. With our creative ventures halted, we decided to dust off my fertilizer idea and bring it to life. Armed with marketing, design, photography skills, and a passion for houseplants, Purived was born in February 2021.

Viral Success

Fast forward to 2023 when we hit the jackpot! Purived went viral on TikTok Shop and we’re proudly waving the #1 flag in our category. Amazon even gave us the coveted “Amazon’s Choice” badge. But my absolute favorite part? Connecting with all you lovely houseplant enthusiasts on social media and partnering with the incredible affiliates who make this journey even more exciting. We’re a team, and I’m endlessly grateful for all the support. 🌱✨
